Dancing Feat

From a distance they look like a bunch of kids having fun,but a closer look reveals an expression....a communication ...a word thru Dance.

APRIL 13th,2006 Thursday - My first class with the Aashi & Saahil...and i was surprised looking at the little kids potential...one go and that was it....they had already picked it up...the 1 hour class seemed too much of a time for them....and at the end of the class possibly they would b teaching me.....

And it was not just A,S and me njoying even their little sisters joined us at the end of the class to shake a leg.Well it was just the beginning for them so they didnt wanna leave....momies had a tough time taking them back !!!

Well,it was a novel expereince for me too....an upto-the-minute idea of their potential,their attributes and how good as a team we would be....and mind u FANTASTIC 3 !!!!
At the end of it all, we have a performance to showcase........A platform for them to exhibit themselves....to express their skilful act...their elegant style and loads of fun on stage.....truly its gonna be a "FEAT".....so i name them the "DANCING FEAT" Boundless….Free….Never ending……

No Feet...No Dance

Its June school reopening back there in India....but i guess it will b a different story here to tell....i regret saying that maybe i will have to end the class i started here in San Diego two months ago.Ever since Anils put in his papers and i announced to the parents that i may not b there for the August 15th show,its been difficult gettin the parents come together and have a class for the kids.I had plans of takin extra sessions and dance practises before i left,but now it seems a different scene altogether.....i have landed up makin calls here and there fixing up appointments that atleast once a week we meet up,but even thats not happening,when one parent is free,the other is busy and visa vis...and by the time i guess i actually get them together,it wud b time for me to pack and leave.
So the only alternative i see best for all ( after discussing with all ) is the closure of this San Diego class....with around 3/4th of the dance complete,the kids doing very well...it is kinda heartbreakin but then i say " The kids kno how to dance finally,they kno the steps,the moves, the partner work...i started on April13th and its been 2 months today and i believe that every session gave a lot to the kids and to me....the kids r very dear to me,this was my very first experience teachin the little ones with their moves and I will carry this firsthand knowledge throughout my life….Dancing Feat does not end here….its just the beginning,a start to something real big…something that I intend to carry Global.

I thank Abha for instilling the confidence in me to start this class, Sangeeta for trusting me with Saahils improvement,Anil for always being a great support and I have gradually seen the kids improve….they have been great!!! I thank all u guys for givin me this opportunity to start head on with my passion and to get it this further.I hold myself responsible too for not seeing this to an end,but what I see here is the best I can do takin everyones interest into account.My heart sunk,I cried,but then lookin at things from a practical viewpoint rather than emotionally,I came to this conclusionof ending it here.I once again thank u all and hope the kids do great ahead with whatever they have learnt till date”
